Overview

This document contains the full description of Eventy calendar software and its instalation.
Eventy is a small and very flexible script for integration in your website, shopping cart, catalog or membership system or whatever you can think about.

Requirements

The script needs only web host with PHP 4 or above and MySQL database.

Installation

The installation of Eventy is very simple and requires only few steps.

1. Create a database for use of Eventy. Eventy can also share the same database with other applications you may have on the host
2. Open the file db_login.inc.php that is located in folder inc/ and edit the DB connection details.
3. Upload the files on your web host
4. If you want to use the RSS feed, make sure feed.xml is writeable (change mode / CHMOD to 0775)
5. Direct your browser to install.php.
Then you have to enter the database access parametters and to choose login and password for administrator.
That's all!
To use the script, point your browser to eventy.php.
It's highly recommended that you delete install.php after the installation is done!
Changing the design
You can modify all files from folder 'templates' with any wysywig or ordinary web editor and change styles.css for the stylesheets.

What's New

Version 1.2: Now you can create events without fixed start or end time. If you omit both times (by selecting the N/A checkbox) you will have the even listed as a whole day event

Version 1.3: Eventy now displays the event detaisl throught Ajax/DHTML. Thus the popups look much better and don't get blocked by popup blockers.

Version 1.4: Now you can protect the access to the entire calendar. This is useful if you are publishing scheduler that needs to be seen only from your company or group.

Version 1.5: You can use 12 hours format with AM/PM or the international 24 hours format when setting time for the events.

Version 1.6: Most important is that now your users can subscribe by RSS and get notifications on new and updated events. The calendar is redesigned and offers more space for events. Events look better too.
